UC Cop Cites Hot Dog Vendor and Steals His Money

Some sad news out of the California wienersphere. A UC Berkley police officer not only ticketed a hot dog vendor but also removed money from the vendor’s wallet. Luckily the whole incident was caught on video.

According to Tracy Bloom of KTLA 5, Martin Flores a Los Angeles resident and Berkeley alum, filmed and uploaded three cellphone videos of the incident to his Facebook page writing “The sadness to observe UC Berkeley Police give a hot dog vendor a ticket and his hard earned money taken away”.

Police are investigating the incident as they crack down on unpermitted street vendors.

Flores believes Juan is a symbol of injustice and started a GoFundMe page for him. So far over $33,000 was raised. Read more about this story here.
